Travelling southeast asia as a couple

In fact, we had plenty of meals that were definitely less than $10… heck, some were only $3! One of our favorite ways to maintain our budget lifestyle while traveling , is to travel. So yeah this was our first time travelling as a couple ! Backpacking the world together can be trying at times.

Check out Langkawi Island before heading south. This meant staying in dorms, taking local transport, eating street foo and generally traveling on a shoestring budget.

Travelling as a couple will allow your relationship to advance, quickly! You will learn more about each other than most couples who have been together for decades. Your sense of understanding and communication and problem-solving will be tested. Asia is a great vacation destination.

If you can stand it, try to leave your trip as open-ended and unplanned as possible. We tried to pay around £per night for the two of us. You will be surprised at the quality of some of the places we stayed at for such a low price. For new and seasoned travelers alike, this region offers heaps of cultural and visual stimuli, a developed tourist infrastructure, endless activities, safety, and incredible food. Some places are more expensive than others though (e.g.

Singapore, Philippines, Myanmar).

Southeast Asia Travel Costs. Be sure to pack as light as you can. I have visited Bangkok a few times before and it is truly one of my favourite cities in the world. However, the recent political instability and the military rule makes me a little dubious about how the city is going to be during my time of visit.

It all depends on what the imaginative, amorous traveling couple requires from their trip. A magical backdrop to a wedding proposal? A quiet corner for some alone-time?

A thrilling common adventure to cement a romantic bond? It’s pretty easy to budget travel. It is of course a huge country. Malaysia – days. There are many many islands which make it up.

Travel through Thailan Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia by boat, bus, plane and sleeper train, and get stuck into a range of different activities as you go. You’ll bathe elephants, explore historic sites, go jungle trekking, stay on a private islan swim in waterfalls, try delicious foo cruise round. Further along my travels I reached Bali. Once I got past the hustle and bustle of Kuta and traveled deeper into Ubu a kind of peace came over me. By now I wasn’t afraid of new.

It also helps if you can rent for longer periods of time. Most shops in Bali charge around $a day for a motorbike, but I was able to rent one for only $a month!

This is including everything while on the roa apart from travel insurance and flights to and from your home country (we’ve broken the costs down based on each individual country below).
