Rang NRMA roadside assistance and was pleasantly surprised I had the correct cover to send the car back to Sydney to my repairer and due to the late hour of the day a taxi was arranged to take us to our destination. The next day another taxi to pick us up and take us to the hire car premises. NRMA can also deny further roadside assistance or towing if it deems the use of the service as unnecessary and excessive. Am I protected in an accident ? Found both the NRMA contact centre and the serviceman to be both very helpful and friendly.
Given that it was a rainy night at a busy time the serviceman was minutes early! Would highly recommend the APP and roadside assistance. Does NRMA cover roadside assistance?

We have been members with NRMA for years or so, but in that time the prices have gone up quite a bit, plus we are driving newer cars now so have not actually needed to use the service most years. It can save you from flat tyres, dead batteries, blown gaskets and will even send a locksmith if you lock your keys in the car. They just needed my rego number and for me to confirm my name and they came within the hour. NRMA is not always the cheapest but I have all my policies and roadside assistance policies with them. However, the customer service seems very good.
