My apologies that it took so long

The point is when you have an apology to make in this regar it is imperative to come up with a good reason as to why you are apologising , otherwise the apology will just fall flat. I apologise for taking so long in responding to your e-mail. Anyway I am glad to hear you are ok. Looks like something is missing!

Simply saying you’re sorry isn’t enough.

How do you use my apologies in this sentence? What does took so long mean? Is it correct to say sorry or apology? Thank you so much for your thoughtful note last month!

By the way, I recall you mentioning plans to launch a new campaign in the next few months—How’s that going? Never in my life have I felt so surrounded by people who care other than here, I had to have time out due to personnal reasons and also losing our Claire who I was real close to on facebbok. Its taken me this long to be able to write this, I still have only managed to talk to Claire once since on her facebook (it hurts too much, I always beleived she would be our miracle) and wasnt to be.

Offering a sincere apology can free a person from years (or a lifetime) of anger, bitterness, and pain.

Tone, compassion, listening intently, body language and eye contact matter. Sometimes, a good apology means listening to the recipient’s responses without becoming defensive. A good apology heals wounds, it doesn’t tear one open. The idiom my apologies means something slightly different from my multiple acts of apologizing.

For example, imagine you’re writing a letter that’s long overdue. In this sentence, you are not using the literal meaning of my apologies. Beth Revis Apologies are important, but often times “I’m sorry” is not enough.

Just repeating the phrase over and over again will come off as insincere—which can be difficult, because it’s hard to be genuine when you don’t always feel sorry. But there are so many instances in which you have to apologize to a customer. Sorry for taking so long. While a sincere apology can go a long way toward mending a relationship, people are often unwilling or unable to take this step. My apologies is a way to say you’re sorry about something.

Apologies this took so long. Admitting you were wrong can be difficult and humbling. I haven’t be able to really sit down and read over the things people have been saying about me for the last week, due to work schedule and real life concerns.

But I did want to take the time to address these rumors, dash the ones that are not true, and provide context for the ones that are.

We are soooo sorry about this. Authentic remorse tends to be effectively communicated so long as sincere effort is made through tone, gesture, penitent behaviour and so on. But the words, as an explicit admission of wrongdoing or shortcoming, can be an important part of reconciliation. Not counting instances of extreme sarcasm.

My sincerest apologies for not getting back to you about the remote internship sooner. After thinking it over, our team doesn’t think this will work out— so much of our communication happens in person, and we’d hate for you to miss that. But the flipside is that, because they’re so rare, a goo convincing apology to a client can leave you with a stronger relationship than before you slipped up. It isn’t hard to do, either. The key is to remember that you don’t want to sound like a faceless company talking to the faceless masses, but like one human talking to another.

This famous quote has been attributed to many people—-Mark Twain, Winston Churchill, even Bill Clinton, for starters. Once a clever phrase like this comes into the language, a lot of folks start using it, and their readers reasonably figure they made it up.
