What is multi enterprise agreement? Multi-enterprise agreement. Two or more employers that are not single interest employers may make an enterprise agreement with the employees who are employed at the time the agreement is made and who will be covered by the agreement. A multi-enterprise agreement is created by two or more employers as well as the employees of those different enterprises. These agreements differ from single enterprise agreements in that the employers do not need to prove that they have a single interest in the bargaining process.


Employers will, however, need to agree to bargain together. An employer, or two or more employers that are single interest employers, may make an enterprise agreement with the employees who are employed at the time the agreement is made and who will be covered by the agreement. Educational Services (Schools) General Staff Award. Greenfields agreements – involving a genuinely new enterprise that one or more employers are establishing or propose to establish and who have not yet employed persons necessary for the normal conduct of the enterprise. The MEA Implementation Group (MEAIG) is responsible for ensuring the agreement is being implemented appropriately in workplaces. Agreements can be multi-enterprise agreements. Where the agreement is not being implemented appropriately, the MEAIG will identify ways to improve implementation. This type of enterprise agreement is only used between two or more employers and the employees who will be subject to the agreement. So this does not cover single-interest employers.

This type of agreement comes into effect when it has been approved by the majority of the employees of at least one of the employers.
