I would definitely advise you to avoid weekends if at all possible, as it gets sooo busy. There is limited number of parking spaces, so the best time to visit is a morning. Moreover, it gets quite busy in the afternoon, especially on the weekends. Mayfield Lavender Farm is open every day from 9am until 6pm, until August 31st. Middle of the week is the best choice!

July and beginning of August are for visiting Lavender fields and have some fun taking million of photos! One of the things I love about London is that almost every month something is blooming. A few years ago I went to one of the lavender fields nearby and spent an amazing time there. Guests can visit to walk among the rows. It is also only hour from London.
Definitely one of the most romantic activities to do from London. There were still parking spaces (which are free) luckily and there are plenty spots right next to the field.
As I mentioned earlier, if you can arrive before the school holidays begin, there will likely be less people around. I recommend heading there first thing, when the farm opens at 9am or later in the afternoon before closing (last entrance is 5pm and gates close at 7pm). First thing the farm is huge compared to the others in the UK, majority of the farms I have visited plant their lavenders in long rows but short width, and on separate plots of land.
